A knock at the door

One night, I was sitting and reading a great book with my cat, when I heard a knock at the door. There was an eerie silence after that. my cat meowed. Another knock. Again silence. I slowly got up and heard a moaning voice. I was feeling rather insecure. I decided to turn on the TV to distract myself. I turned on Discovery channel when suddenly the screen went black. A Minute later the power went out. I sat there, not daring to move, and thinking about what had just happened. My cat meowed in a "What is happening" voice. Suddenly I heard a bump. I went to the drawer to get a mach and a candle. I lit the candle and started reading again. The glowing and flickering of the candle cast eerie shadows on the walls. I rose up to get a flashlight. By now I was so scared I thought I would pea my pants. I heard the wind whistling around the house. I drifted off to sleep with my cat in my lap.

I woke up the next morning to see that the power went back on. I opened the window and inhaled deeply. What a beautiful day. I decided to take a walk to a nearby park. On the way, I met my brother. We chatted a little bit. I had totally forgot the horrific experience I had last night. I carried on for a little while and decided to get lunch at the nearest restaurant. I got the lettuce chicken tomato cucumber pickle broccoli carrot asparagus mustard ham relish combo. Quite a meal. I ate my sandwich and started on my way home. I suddenly saw a dark figure dart behind a corner behind me. I suddenly remembered last night and started jogging home. When I got there, I locked everything and made sure my cat was in. I was taking no chances. I Sat down to watch TV with a flashlight in my hand. That is when it struck me. I would have to face this mysterious figure unless I wanted him to follow me for the rest of my life. I made a plan. I would dial 911 but not hit the talk key unless something happened. I checked the door. He was still there. I opened the door slowly to reveal the face of... My brother? Silly me! I got a letter that he would come the night before at a late time. I welcomed him in and we had tea and talked about the thing that had happened the night before. In conclusion, We had a lot of fun that night and laughed a lot about the experience.
